Luna Privacy Policy

Luna is made by Nexflow Strategies LLC. This policy explains how information is handled in the Luna app and its support services. For privacy questions, email aidanc@nexflowstrategies.com.

Information you record

Luna saves diary entries, including event types, dates and times, feeding side and duration, bottle amounts, selected diaper colors, and custom activity names and icons. Each entry has an identifier. Custom labels contain the text you choose to enter.

Luna also saves an active feeding session, custom buttons, reminder settings, alarm identifiers, the number of free logs used and purchase status. Appearance, Home layout and onboarding preferences are saved on your device, along with a purchase-status cache.

iCloud and your devices

Luna uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage for diary entries and shared app state. This supports synchronization between devices signed into the same Apple Account. Apple handles iCloud information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Synchronization may be delayed or unavailable. Recovery after reinstalling Luna or moving to another device depends on using the same Apple Account, the records available in iCloud and successful synchronization. Records that have not reached iCloud may not be recoverable. Keep a separate export of records you need.

If you used an earlier version with file-based storage, Luna may copy those records into iCloud. That process does not automatically erase the older files.

Keeping and deleting records

Luna does not automatically expire diary entries after a set period. You can delete an individual entry from the timeline. Luna removes it from the current saved diary and requests an iCloud update. Changes may take time to reach other devices; offline or conflicting changes can affect what appears.

Deleting an entry does not clear other records, settings, purchase status or your lifetime free-log count. Luna does not currently offer a single control to erase all app data. Removing the app does not delete its iCloud records. Per-entry deletion also does not erase older storage files or exported copies.

Exports and caregiver sharing

Luna creates PDF reports and partner log files on your device. You choose who receives them through the system share sheet. Manage those files and backups wherever you save them; recipients and other services control their own copies.

Deleting a diary entry does not retract a shared file. Importing a partner log adds entries not already in your diary. It does not continuously synchronize two caregivers’ accounts or apply later edits and deletions. Importing an older file can bring back an entry you previously deleted.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app purchases. Luna uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to check paid access and restore eligible purchases. Luna does not ask you to enter payment-card details into the app.

Reminders, widgets and Live Activities

Luna uses Apple’s reminder, widget and Live Activity features. Widgets can read and update diary state. Information displayed on your Home Screen or Lock Screen may be visible to someone who can see your device.

The current app manages Live Activities on your device. A separate Luna service hosted on Vercel can receive a Live Activity delivery token and feeding start time, then send Apple a request to end that activity. The current app does not call this service. The service does not save the token or start time in its own database or files; hosting and network processing are described below.

Hosting and support

This website and Luna’s separate server endpoint are hosted by Vercel. This website does not add advertising or analytics scripts or use forms to collect information. Requests to Vercel-hosted services may involve technical information such as an IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser or device information, requested address, time and response status. Vercel processes information to operate and protect its services. Its Privacy Notice explains its practices. Hosting information is separate from diary storage in iCloud; the absence of a diary database on the endpoint does not mean no technical information is retained.

Luna’s founders, Jonathan and Aidan, handle support through aidanc@nexflowstrategies.com. When you email support, they receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Those messages are handled through email services separately from your diary. Deleting an entry in Luna does not delete a support email. Contact us about information you have sent to support, and avoid including unnecessary information about your child.

We retain support emails and attachments only as needed to resolve your request, except where retention is legally required, then delete them. Jonathan and Aidan are responsible for applying this practice. Any diagnostic copies we save are used to investigate reported issues and deleted when no longer needed for that purpose, except where legally required. Provider-managed records and backups follow the provider’s practices; these retention commitments do not promise deletion of records controlled by Apple, Vercel or another provider.

Children’s information and privacy requests

Luna is intended for adult parents and caregivers, who may record information about a child. Avoid unnecessary identifying details in custom labels, shared files and support messages.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or other privacy rights. Contact aidanc@nexflowstrategies.com with your request. Diary exports and individual deletion are available in the app; requests about copies held by Apple, a file recipient or another service may also need to be addressed to that provider.
